Thailand’s election winner will demilitarize the country

To fully democratize Thailand and make sure the country is back to business requires next four years priorities be demilitarize, demonopolize and decentralize. That is the message of the unofficial winner of Thailand’s election, leader of the progressive Move Forward Party and 42-year-old Harvard alumni Pita Limjaroenrat, as reported by CNN. Despite uncertainty who will actually take power, partly due to the yet unelected military dominated senate, Pita remains positive that the significant shift in public opinion is strong enough to put an end to a near decade of military-backed rule.
